The Prevention Technology Transfer Center Network Coordinating Office (PTTC NCO) conducted a national environmental scan from September 2021-March 2022 for the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).
The environmental scan is intended to support CSAP in mapping the resources and gaps in resources available in communities to address the physical health, mental health, and psychosocial needs.
The resources pertain to 12 domains: Access to Financial Support for Physical and Mental Care; Housing Services; Economic Stability; Childcare Needs; Resources to Meet Transportation Needs; Food Insecurity; Social Injustice; Risky Behaviors; Psychoeducation for Early Symptom Identification and Development of Coping Strategies; Harm Reduction; and Supportive Counseling Aimed to Prevent Crisis; and Community Safety. They were collected manually via internet searches and from large, preexisting databases.
It is important to note that this is not an exhaustive list of all community resources and only reflect the time from of September 2021-March 2022 and contact information and operation status may change.
